this NICU thing is so nerve racking. i've spent all day trying to calm myself and get prepared for a long road ahead. and if you know me at all (especially those from work) you know that my nerves "have it" a lot. it really is a lot to take in with how small he is and how quickly things can change. today he had 3 blood gas tests to test his oxygen and co2 levels (determines whether he may or may not have to be intubated). he finally got a chest xray, which was really good, so he won't have to go back on the vent for now. the nurse he had today was nice, but its like you need this perfect personality to match your insanity or you think that your baby is going to die and all is lost. we finally got to talk to the nurse practitioner and she was very reassuring. so as of right now, anthon is doing ok and my nerves are not shot yet.
as for me, i am feeling better. however my BP is creeping back up again. ugh. and i am still really bloated which makes us all nervous because of my previous pulmonary edema.
the best part of life today (besides seeing henry and anthon) is mca. what an amazing guy i have. he knows i love sushi and i always tease him how we need to spend ridiculous amounts of money on sushi whenever we need to celebrate. anyway, he went out with hen today and came back with my favorite sushi. i can't even tell you what luck i got when i chased mca into marrying me. he has not left my side since i entered the hospital 11 days ago. the guy is sort of a freak of nature. people often wonder what it would be like to be married to me and how the person is insane, etc. well he is, and i love him more than life itself. thanks mca for all you do for me. i promise i won't mass email this to everyone in your life :)

Wow, sounds like you have a pretty awful time with pregnancy. I do as well with totally different issues. I think 2 is enough for us...sounds like you may need to think the same. =)
Love the love note to hubby - honestly making me tear up a bit- so happy you have a stellar man by your side! Keep the updates coming - :)
I have been obsessively checking your blog like every hour or so... as if I need an excuse to be distracted at work... who me? Never.
anyways I'm glad to see this post so positive. Hope your body figures out its not pregnant soon and you can get back to "normal".
Also glad your guys (little and big) are doing so well.
Ditto to exactly what Emily said.
Very sweet love note to McKay... he's a rock star of a husband, but don't forget that you're awesome too!
aw! You and McKay are meant to be together!
he is a great guy. for reals.
