NO thank you annie

tomorrow, i do NOT love ya. this roller coaster sucks - sorry to use that word, but i may have other explicitives that would be more inappropriate at this point. anyway, anthon now has an infection, or at least they think he does. so he is off the feedings again and they are giving him antibiotics for like 2 weeks. they won't know for about a week what or even if there is an infection. he keeps having apena - short stops of breathing. if he doesn't stop that then they may have to put him back on a ventilator. BUT, alas says the NNP (neonatal nurse practitioner) he looks great, and is acting appropriately. soooo frustrating. and so scary. how has anyone gotten through this NICU thing? it is insane. and i am already an insane person. along with infections and my house being a complete disgusting disaster.

don't worry though, mca found a halloween costume for himself - kenny powers. don't look it up if you don't know. you wouldn't be impressed. but if you do know, laugh cuz he looked pretty funny this morning. AND, i have an amazing friend that is letting me borrow a sweet costume for henry. i can't divulge details so wait for pics. see i can sort of be positive :)

tomorrow - i love ya

anthon had to get his cpap back on. he was working a little too hard breathing with just the nasal cannula. they may try and ween him sometime next week. this isn't alarming and happens often with babies his size. he is, however, doing great with the breast milk and will be on full feedings for his weight tomorrow. this is exciting because one condition for babies to come home is that they have to be at full feeds for at least 3 days before they can come home. NOT saying that anthon will come home at 2.5 lbs (yes he has gained 5 OZ), but when he gets to a better weight, full feeds is a good sign.

i haven't been to see him in two days. yay mastitis. worst infection ever. i had swine last year and i thought i was going to die with that. this is much worse. i still feel run down and like my muscles are going into atrophy, but i am going to force myself to go up tomorrow. i NEED to see him. i had no idea how much staring into his isolette everyday kept me sane. poor mca and henry got to see a side of mommy that i had no idea even existed today. i feel awful. i know everyone keeps telling me that i have been through a lot, but i just can't believe how crazy, sad, happy, angry, etc. that i feel. i like to be in control and that isn't working very well for me right now...

hopefully tomorrow will be better. thank you annie.

good news and some annoying news...

so in anthon news, he had several tests this morning. a blood gas to check oxygen levels that came back a little low, but nothing they are worried about. a hematacrit test to check for possible need of blood transfusion. that came back at 35. they start looking at possible transfusions lower than 35, but also consider how the baby is doing clinically, so no blood for now. he also had another chest xray, but we don't have results on that yet. he is tolerating his feedings well, hopefully they will move him up to more breast milk today. the PDA was checked on and is not totally closed. the last round of indomethicine didn't really do much, so they are going to keep an eye on him and see if they need to do anything else with his heart. however, the ventricles look good, so that is good news.

in allison news, i woke up this morning with fever, chills, aches, flu like symptoms. has anyone had mastitis? cuz the world wide web says that you can have flu like symptoms first and then get all the other fun painful stuff later. ugh. hopefully this is not what is wrong. i also may have a bladder infection, which is being treated, but the dr is concerned because there was blood in my urine (sorry gross). someday i will get back to my normal self and feel better.

i may be a downer today, but seriously? snow? in october. so irritating. so not fair. there was no FALL. like 30 seconds of leaves changing. rude.

mca's bday is in 29 days. his birth month started yesterday, and alas, i had to be reminded. AND, henry has no halloween costume.

BUT, anthon is doing great. and that is what keeps us going. thanks for all the support, prayers, calls, texts, emails, everything. we have wonderful family and friends that help us get through the days. and the U of U NICU has been amazing as well. i haven't had to worry yet about leaving anthon in their hands.

YES!!!

the head ultrasound showed no brain bleed. we don't have the results on the echo yet. more tomorrow.

just a short update

anthon was moved rooms this weekend. which is good, because he was in room 1 where all the new babies go. AND, if there is a delivery happening, we can't be in there. so it is kind of like he graduated and that was exciting for us.

he will get another echo on monday along with another head ultrasound to check for brain bleeds. the nurses/docs say that the cannot hear a murmur in his heart, so hopefully the PDA is closed or very small.

he is still on the nasal cannula, they did turn it down to 2 liters, but he wasn't tolerating that very well, so he is back to a 3.

he started eating breast milk again (had to not have any for a few days while they gave him the heart medicine) and he is tolerating that.

so for now everything looks great. he is gaining weight and looks more like his daddy then henry does. i thought for sure i had a chance with this one to look a little like me, but alas, no such luck. good thing daddy is quite the looker :) anthon is quite the fiesty baby, and does not like people messing with him while he is sleeping. sometimes he puts his hands/arms over his eyes if the blanket on the isolette is lifted so that we can see him. once the blanket is covering the entire isolette, he calms right down. guess he likes his sleep and likes it cavelike - sound familiar? so far he LOVES to be held and makes his cute cooing sounds during holding time. only 62 days until christmas and hopefully when he can come home.

best day ever

so anthon and i had quite the day today...

i got to hold him for 45 minutes. he kept his temperature the whole time, so i am pretty sure he loved it as much as i did.

we had a photo shoot of anthon's hands and feet against my hand to show how teeny he is...

he got his CPAP (fighter pilot helmet) off today. he only needs a nasal cannula now!!! we finally got to see his little head and lips. SUCH a joy.

and big brother henry came to visit again. he was much more intrigued with anthon today wanting to stare into the isolette and talk to him.

i definitely walked out of the NICU a very happy and proud mommy today. in other news regarding anthon - if you are into the whole medical aspect (i know you are e. nice)... anthon had a full round of endocine (medicine to help close the PDA in his heart). the PDA is still there, but smaller. so they are going to have him do another round of the endocine to see if they can close it or make it smaller. at this point they are not concerned about the size and do not think it will need to be surgically closed. they are going to do another head ultrasound to check on the brain bleed. the last test showed a non-gradeable bleed, so they are just double checking. our little guy is doing well so far. he is 12 days old today and would be 29 weeks. everyday is going to be new news, so i am trying to prepare for that. but i am taking it one day at at time. and with a day like today, i can hopefully get through anything.

thanks to jorden (the most amazing boss in the world)for taking me up to the best day at the hospital.

thanks to the guilbert's, christine, and jorden for the amazing food this week. so nice to come home and have something waiting for us to eat.

big brother fits

so when mca picked hen up from the sitter yesterday, he (hen) cried most of the way home because they weren't driving the way to see baby anson. he is already an amazing big brother! ha :)

anthon is doing good still. the echo showed a hole or murmur called a PDA in his heart. this is normal for babies and usually closes up on its own on term babies. but because anthon is so small they want to help close it up for him. so he is on a two day regiment of a medicine to help close the PDA. the only downside is that he cannot have breast milk for those two days. tomorrow they will do another echo to see if the PDA is smaller or has closed. if it is, YAY. if not, they will run another round of the medicine. so that is the latest. other than that he continues to do well. it is getting harder and harder each day to leave the hospital. i can't wait to hold him.

thanks again for all your support and love.

million dollar baby and a proposal

so mca went back to school today. one of his awesome co-workers made a comment about how she has to pay more taxes now because we just had a million dollar baby. sensitive much? ugh.

today was my first day all alone. that was a little hard. i must sound like such an emotional wreck. but mca has been my rock through this whole thing and it was hard to have him gone.

i did spend some time at the hospital - thanks ali for the ride. anthon continues to do well. he had his brain scan today and all looks good. there was a small spot of blood, but they didn't grade it - so no brain bleeds for now. this is just the preliminary test, when he is 30 days old he will have another one. they are a little concerned because anthon drops his heart rate at random times (i can't think of what the medical term is) and then brings it back up himself. However, he is still on 21% oxygen - which is great and a CPAP of 4 - which is also great. so this doesn't seem to be the heart issue. consequently, to start ruling things out, they did an echo and an ekg. without the cardiologist report, both tests looked ok. more info on those later. they say that some babies just drop their heart rate and they can't figure out why - but that they grow out of it and things go fine. he wasn't very happy today with all the testing going on. but it was so great because i was able to contain him (pressing with a firm hand on the body, arms, or legs to help calm baby down) for a while today. that was the first real motherly thing i have been able to do - except for the 3 hour pump sessions. anthon is also up to eating 9 MLS of breast milk every three hours. pray for weight gain. he is tolerating the milk pretty well. yay.

anthon's nurse today was emily. she also had him yesterday and i got a great vibe from her over the phone and meeting with her in person. she is spunky with short hair and some super sweet zebra print hospital shoes. without even asking anything about her (credentials, marriage info, child info, blood sample, ect) i just like blurted out "do you want to be our primary?" and she accepted my proposal. i just had a great feeling about her. perhaps it is the name (emily nice?) i was really giddy walking out of the NICU today. we have a primary!!!

hen visited anthon today. he did a great job. didn't seem too scared or uncomfortable. he did want to look at all the other babies though - anthon was definitely not exciting enough. at the end of the visit he said goodbye and said "love you". so sweet.

crying...a lot

the last few days have been spent crying a ridiculous amount. i mean my baby is in the NICU and not at home with me, but i also just had a baby, so the hormones are like insane. i also don't feel the greatest. still having a lot of swelling, high blood pressure, headaches, etc. i just want to feel good.

BUT we have so much to look forward to.

hen will be back with us on saturday. thanks to my wonderful parents that have taken him and cared for him for 2 weeks. i can tell his stay is getting a little over welcome, he is getting a little bossy with nana. that can get scary!! mca and i miss him so much and i know having him with us will help ease this icky feeling of missing anthon. but thank you so much nana and papa for all you have done for him. it has been so reassuring to have him in one place and know he is happy and having a good time - even if he is calling the shots.

anthon is still doing awesome. he is having a little trouble digesting the breast milk, so they are working on getting some air out of his tummy. he is still on the CPAP - a machine that helps send in air for him to breathe (which is causing the extra tummy air). its so annoying though because if it isn't in his nose like perfectly, then his stats get all messed up and he doesn't get great blood gas tests. and the annoying thing is that the equipment is too big for him. they don't make the equipment small enough for a baby his age. however, that is the main population of humans that use it - preemie babies. so its is an oxymoron, but he seems to handle it well. i CANNOT wait until he gets it off so i can see his little face. today he is 28 weeks (which is what the NICU goes by so they can use a general language for babies his age). but saturday he will be 7 days old. and that is a big milestone. hopefully he will get moved from room 1 - which is the new baby room to room 2 which will be more comfortable to sit and spend more time.

we have also been trying to recruit a primary nurse. its this system they do where if a parent likes a nurse that has taken care of your baby, then you can ask them to be primary and they will be able to take care of your baby whenever they come into shift (at least that is how it is supposed to work). every nurse we have loved so far has a primary baby, so we are waiting to find someone to be the primary so we can make all these other nurses secondary. so essentially we could have like 6 or so nurses that always work with anthon - like a team sort of. mca has really been trying to recruit people. its so cute. he goes up to a nurse we like and says real quiet - looks around - hey, so do you have a primary. and the answer is always YES. ugh. but its cause they are so awesome they get snatched up real quick.

getting home yesterday was a nightmare - thus causing much of my breakdown. but this guy i am married to (i know, i already shouted out to him just a few days ago, but seriously if it weren't for him...state hospital here i come) ran around the house like a crazy person trying to make things comfortable for me. he won't even let me make my own ice water. now we are trying to get settled and have some countdowns to anthon's homecoming around the house. mca also made an awesome pumping station (picture to come) and a homemade commode (which is really more of joke than anything) so i don't have to walk upstairs all the time to use the bathroom.

this update was much longer than i thought. i guess i have lots on my mind. thanks for listening.

going home tomorrow...

now the HARDEST part. we have to go home and say goodbye. no doubt i will be here everyday, but ugh, leaving little anthon here is so sad and scary. but he is in good hands and i trust that he will be fine. he is still doing really well for a baby his age. most of the nurses have been so very positive about his progress thus far. we have been told that if he stays the course he will most likely be home for christmas. so now the countdown begins. anyone want to make an advent calendar? anyway, all the countdown support we can get would be great. we are going to see anthon right now, so i may have more updates later tonight. thanks to everyone for your love and prayers and comments. this is the craziest thing that has happened to us, sort of surreal. its great to have such an amazing support system. more later. maybe some pics.

nervy nerve nerve - and an amazing man

this NICU thing is so nerve racking. i've spent all day trying to calm myself and get prepared for a long road ahead. and if you know me at all (especially those from work) you know that my nerves "have it" a lot. it really is a lot to take in with how small he is and how quickly things can change. today he had 3 blood gas tests to test his oxygen and co2 levels (determines whether he may or may not have to be intubated). he finally got a chest xray, which was really good, so he won't have to go back on the vent for now. the nurse he had today was nice, but its like you need this perfect personality to match your insanity or you think that your baby is going to die and all is lost. we finally got to talk to the nurse practitioner and she was very reassuring. so as of right now, anthon is doing ok and my nerves are not shot yet.

as for me, i am feeling better. however my BP is creeping back up again. ugh. and i am still really bloated which makes us all nervous because of my previous pulmonary edema.

the best part of life today (besides seeing henry and anthon) is mca. what an amazing guy i have. he knows i love sushi and i always tease him how we need to spend ridiculous amounts of money on sushi whenever we need to celebrate. anyway, he went out with hen today and came back with my favorite sushi. i can't even tell you what luck i got when i chased mca into marrying me. he has not left my side since i entered the hospital 11 days ago. the guy is sort of a freak of nature. people often wonder what it would be like to be married to me and how the person is insane, etc. well he is, and i love him more than life itself. thanks mca for all you do for me. i promise i won't mass email this to everyone in your life :)

in the company of...

if you know anything about icelanders, then you know they are some of the toughest strong willed people around. and today i am glad that my baby is icelandic. because he is doing some amazing things. he is not on any oxygen and is on the lowest dose of C PAP (you can correct me vanessa) which is what helps him breathe. his coloring is rockin and the nurses are so pleased with him already. he can also eat 1 ML of breast milk. the only negative thing is that i have only been able to see him for like 3 minutes last night. i am still on the magnesium sulfate and not able to get out of bed. BOO. so in about 1.5 hours i will be off the mag and be able to spend some time with him. mca has been able to be with him today and we have called often to check on him.

anthon has also had some visitors today: uncle boas, nana and papa (brought hen from st. george), and great aunt lynne. big brother henry won't be able to see him in the level 1 part due to RSV season and other concerns we have. henry did see pics of him and was a little worried about baby being hurt. mca was amazing at explaining all the tubes and IVs to him. hen kept saying "can we go see anson (how hen says it), i want to see her" then mca had to tell him that he is a boy a few times. so cute.

as for me, i am doing pretty good. blood pressure is back to normal. but of course i am in some pain from the surgery and all the hormonal stuff that comes with having a baby. i haven't slept much in the last week and those of you that know me well would know that this is a very negative thing. i love my sleep.

we love you guys and are thankful for the support.

team anderson

sorry we are posting like crazy, it is just easier than calling everyone. here is the update:

Anthon: they say that he is doing the best he can for a 27 week baby. top notch. he has assistance breathing, but no oxygen, which is amazing. mca was able to see him for like 30 seconds and i will get to go see him around midnight or 1 am. they have also said that he looks really good for everything that we have been through and for how sick i was.

Mom: feeling great. tired, but that is to be expected. my BP is already almost in normal range. can't wait to see our little guy.

Dad: crazy with excitement. he got back from seeing anthon and after he showed me the pictures he said to the nurse "when will i be able to go see him again?" he is such a good daddy. he teased me and said that now that i am ok, he is going to be focusing all attention on anthon, so no more 5 star treatment for me :)

Teeny tiny baby Anthon

Anthon is here

Anthon was born at 7:25 and he weighs 2lbs. He is doing well and so is Mom thanks for all the support and prayers.

B-Day

Well this is it we have officially ran out of options and Anthon will be born today. We have a few hours so she won't have food in her stomach and we will have our second son some time tonight. Lets have everyone cross their fingers from 7pm to 10pm no tricksies.

little miracles

so we had a visitor the other day. his name is weston and he is the smartest, say how it is four year old i've met. and he was born at 28 weeks. just visiting with him gave me so much reassurance that our little anthon can be ok and that miracles do happen. thank you weston for making us smile and being your mama's little miracle.

and then there is our own miracle. although he did not come so traumatically, his birth was hard and we had some scares. he is the joy, sunshine, love, everything of our life. and i can live my life with just him if that is what is meant to be.

not trying to be a doomsdayer, but i have such a dichotomy of emotions: don't want to get overly hopeful and don't want to completely give up. but at this moment right now, i feel at peace with whatever happens and that is what matters.

thanks again to everyone that has supported us through this crazy time. just a short text, email, or phone call have been so appreciated. mca has also made a request that if you read our blog leave a comment. he gets really excited when people comment. that would be a great present for him. thanks again.

The latest on the situation

We just went for an ultrasound and all is well with baby Anthon. Alli has been doing well for 2 days with her blood pressure. The bad news is the placenta is not working well and we won't be able to last much longer. We are getting monitored closely over the weekend and getting another ultra sound on Monday. I think we will be lucky to make it to 28 weeks which is Thursday. Thanks for all of the prayers, concern, and support.

greys anatomy: utah

so i am at the university of utah hospital and i had no idea, but they are basically filming a version of greys anatomy right here in utah. its like CSI: miami or something. anyway, like the TV show, there are a few prerequisites for people to be employed here as doctors. 1. good looking. 2. young. and 3. very good looking. its like the people that hired them just put their head shots on a board and just picked the docs solely on their looks and age. and i would honestly believe that if they weren't so amazing at their job. although it is a little grey's (esque) around here, and although mca and i like to joke about it, the experience with these docs have been literally the best. before i delve into my team of doctors, i will say that these guys WILL NOT give up. they are going to exhaust everything short of me laying completely on my back and not moving for days until i deliver. i am so happy that i am here and blessed that they are so determined to help me. so, if you watch grey's (or at least did, like me) you are well aware of the "mc" factor. so allow me to introduce my team of very good looking, young, and skilled doctors.

1. mcdonald - taller than sin with red luscious curly hair.
2. mcshower - had a full blown conversation with mcshower whilst i was showering - pretty sure she didn't enjoy it as much as i did...but
3. mcsweater - not really into his scrubs as much as he is into his spendy pull over sweaters.
4. mcmini boston - teeny tiny women with a killer east coast accent.
5. mcsmiles - flashes that smile and all is better. everytime he takes my blood pressure it is lower. he's kind of a mcdoll.
6. mctag team - i think she is like in mccharge, but she always tag teams with another doc. usually mcmini boston.

in any case, these guys are saving my life and anthon's. they have no idea how grateful i am and how safe i feel being here. the nurses and med students and attendings/residents (get all those mixed up, not sure if my "mc" team are residents or attendings) are all so helpful too. this place is like disneyland for sick people. so might i suggest that the next time you need to go to the hospital, you get life flighted to the u and spend weeks on end here, because it is so mcdreamy (ha, i had to).

oopsie - graphic information may be included...

so we had a good laugh today, which has been very needed. i wanted to get in the shower and asked mca if he would get in with me so that he could get wet and help me wash my hair (wrapped IV does not make for a good lather). so our sweet "older" nurse decided that she would make my bed up while i got in the shower - unbeknown st to her that he was going to be getting in the shower as well. needless to say, mca was not dressed when our nurse came to make up my bed and she may or may have not seen a little too much information :) we laughed the entire shower and when we came out, she had blocked the doorway view with a curtain.

i am still in my regular room and my BP is stable at this time. they have me on some new medication that may hold better than the other. tomorrow little anthon will be 27 weeks, we made it another week.

everyone has been asking about henry. he is in st. george with nana and papa and having fun with the cousins. missing him is definitely one of the hardest parts to this process. he has such a contagious personality and is taking over my parents home. he is making nana sleep in the guest room and papa on the pull out couch because he needs to be in the king size bed by himself. he is also very insistent on using the decorative pillows for his pillow mountain - which is a regular thing at home. he also will not let nana put her purse on either of the counter height stools and moves it to the table everyday. and, the best part is that he sleeps with our engagement picture. we are so thankful to nana and papa for taking him. he is getting great care and running the place like he would at home. thanks to everyone else who have offered to help us with him. we may be taking you up on that in the future.

well that is all for now. i hope that everyone knows how much we appreciate all the support and love. we are so blessed with amazing people in our life.

back in labor and delivery

yesterday was a nightmare, so sorry about the lack of post. at 4 am i awoke with this insane headache and went back to L & D from 8 am to 7:30 pm (thank the good lord i was back in my room in time for glee). they were just monitoring me, concerned about the BP. then last night at around midnight, BP was high again and i spent the night in L & D AGAIN!!! they are just working really hard to get the BP regulated, but we think i only have a few days left until i need to deliver. i may be able to go back to my room today, perhaps shower and sit up for a few hours. i may update again today, depending on how things go. thanks for the love and support.

back and forth

yesterday went well, until about 1 AM. BP was doing good and they couldn't get a great reading on the baby, so i went back to labor and delivery. thought for sure i was going to have the baby, but they did some checking, things were fine, and i am back in the penthouse for another day. they said it is going to take a little while to work out the kinks and get things completely stabilized, so i may be back in L & D again.

we went on a tour of the NICU last night. saw a baby about 26 weeks. it wasn't as scary as i thought, but at least we know now how small our guy will be if he is born in the next few days.

that is it for now. hopefully these posts will continue to be boring, or at least non baby in NICU related. trying to find my sense of humor, i'm pretty sure things will be funnier in the future. thanks again for everything.

penthouse view

so i got moved!!! thank goodness. i am in the antiparteum unit, just down the hall from labor and delivery. the room has this sweet view of SLC, so i have been watching airplanes take off (and yes ali, wishing on them like shooting stars).

basically i am on bed rest, with bathroom privileges. thank the lord, no more cath. i have been off the magnesium for about 16 hours and feel like 100% better. my BP is doing ok, at this point we are still hoping that it can be kept down by medicine and i can stay in here for at least 6 more weeks. we have a countdown going which is at 39 days right now. this is how long i need to stay in this room until delivery - which will give Anthon 32 weeks.

i feel like super important because i have my own nutritionist person. she gets my orders for every meal and gets to know what i like and don't like - (and yes x, she will smuggle in some ddp for me on occasion). so i am feeling very well taken care of at this point.

the nurse comes to check my vitals and baby every 4 hours and if things look good, i get to keep hanging out. its a pretty sweet set up, we even have his and hers tvs (pics to come).

well that is it for now. thanks again for thoughts, prayers, emails, everything. we have an amazing support system. i may post again today with some pics of the view and our dueling tvs.

could i run a marathon right now? maybe, just maybe

so right now, my big amazing brother is running the st. geo marathon. and of course my baby had to crash his party. love ya sloaney. and i am feeling so great this morning that i feel i just may be able to run a marathon myself :) ha!!!

saw the doc this morning. they are looking to take me off the mag tonight and start BP medicine today. if things stabilize i will get a room in the 'anti'parteum section of the hospital and remain there until we have baby. PRAY for 32 weeks. i know, i know that is 6 weeks of hospitalization bed rest, but that is what we would love. right now we are shooting for days though, so whatever we can get, everyday counts.

thanks already to everyone that has dropped their lives and come to rescue us. we have an amazing support system and are so grateful for our marvelous family and friends. thanks for all the help, calls, texts, emails, concern.

love the anderson

ps. baby name is official: ANTHON - like Anthony with no "y", like Anthem but with and "on". NOT Anton or Antwan, although those are also nice. Middle name still to be decided.

life with "severe" preeclampsia

preeclampsia is this awesome disease that you get during pregnancy. the only cure is delivery. i have been diagnosed with this and am now in the hospital trying to keep this baby in as long as possible for him to develop more. if you need more info google it, webmd is much better at explaining. anyway, this is the story and update to where we are today.

had preeclampsia with henry and delivered him at 37 weeks. not as tragic.

i started feeling sick 2 weeks ago and noticed blood pressure elevated. doc had me in the hospital for testing, all came back looking fine. so i continued to monitor my BP at home and go about my business. Wed night BP was pretty high and i panicked a little - yes I panicked. anyway, not feeling very well the next day and finally after the much THANKFUL prodding of my mother i called the hospital and they told me to come in. i went to timp hospital in orem, because jordan valley was too far away (where i would normally deliver). i was admitted and diagnosed with "severe" preeclampsia (lana and i had a good laugh about that last night). the doc said that timp was not equipped to deliver a 26 week old baby and said - hey, we are life flighting you to U of U!!! YAY you get to ride in a helicopter. no, really, BOO. BOO people. this was not fun. on any level. and i am sure millions of dollars. so i made it to the U via million dollar, ridiculously uncomfortable, and apparently enviable transportation.

the plan that night for me and baby was this: get a steroid shot to develop babies lungs. wait 24 hours. put me on magnesium sulfate (almost turned into wolverine last night) to prevent seizures and lower my BP. then after 24 hours another steroid. wait 24 more hours. still on magnesium. after that 24 hours which will be tonight (following...), they will take me off the mag (hopefully i will still retain my metal claws for future use) and see how the BP goes. if i can stabilize without it, i can stay here in the hospital and keep baby. if i can't then we deliver. so that is where we are at this point.

So far things are looking good. baby looks good, mom has had a few melt downs. i know, that sounds far fetched, but its true. i am going to try and keep daily updates for you, cuz i know that you secretly love me and mca and hey, everyone loves a little drama. a little soap opera never hurt anyone.
