mckay and i attended two halloween parties this past weekend. if you can't tell we were zombie bride and groom. we had a blast making our costumes. we looked way better in person. mckay won a donut eating contest. i fell down the stairs.

update on henry

so the anderson family of 3 went to st. george a few weekends ago. henry had a great time staying with nana and papa. nana gave him his first haircut. that was fun. he also got to hang out with his baby shaw cousins. paige was not happy about picture time. levi is just happy.

its all over from here

i sat henry down this morning in the front room to get his breakfast ready. when i came back he was all the way across the room. hmm how did you get that far so fast? army crawl? swirl around? backwards crawl? i don't know. but when i went to pick him up - he crawled 5 times toward me. real crawl. i was so excited. i took him straight to my MIL to show her. he then would not perform and did all his old tricks like the ones mentioned above. its funny how excited you get to see the new developmental stages, but scared at the same time because now it is investment time in baby gates. ahhh. ps he also has 4 official teeth in his mouth. 2 more trying to poke through. i will get pics posted soon.

i love the dentist

yes this is true. i used to have a crush on my dentist when i lived down south, but i HATED going. everyone knows what i am talking about, drills, sharp things in your mouth, fluoride, ect. so when i moved north, i had to get a new dentist. no, i do not have a crush on my new dentist. but i love love love going every six months. first he has themed rooms - space room, tiki hut, mickey mouse room - which if you know me, i am obsessed with themes. next, he has tvs on the ceiling and the first thing they do when you lie in the chair is hand you a remote. change the channel to what you want. MTV, HGTV, sleezy network, whatever. next, and for sure the best part is they promptly put the gas nozzle on your nose and away you go into another place. then he comes in and says, hmmm not much tartar - scrape here, scrape there. oh lets clean your teeth. and the 30 second blasting begins. not 30 years of teeth cleaning, 30 seconds. its like this high powered machine that blasts through your mouth like an automatic car wash. its A - MAZE- ING. however, one downside is that your mouth does feel a little tore up for at least a day after the cleaning. then a little floss, and YES they do not make me have fluoride. Fluoride makes me gag, even thinking about putting it in my mouth makes me want to vomit. So i don't have to have fluoride. ever. ps. every time i go there the dentist is like, oh you have the most beautiful teeth. nothing is ever wrong with them. i just love cleaning your teeth, no tartar, ect. he is so nice. pss. i did have to get a filling fixed yesterday. no biggy. EXTRA gas and some novocaine and i didn't feel a thing. it was awesome. can't wait for april. and i absolutely will drive from out of state (if we ever move) every six months to continue seeing this dentist. psss. thanks mom for making me go to the dentist all my life. the dentist praises you every time i see him.

so we watched this episode of family guy the other night. i don't know why i thought it was so funny, but family guy usually is. anyway, i am kind of into it right now, i've watched it a couple of times via hulu.com because i loved it so much. so if you don't get offended easily and like family guy and have 25 minutes to spare, please watch this episode. i love the 15th of october

so this is the day that i met mckay 5 years ago. best day of my life. i will never forget it. also, now it is even better because it is henry's 9 month b-day. today is going to be a good day. ...also it is 1 day away from 7 months until my birthday and 1 day past our 4 year anniversary. oh and exactly 3 months until henry's first birthday. so many things to celebrate. sigh.

worst weekend ever

i scrubbed my house all day friday. it felt good. layed on the couch in the evening, all bundled up in my blanket and new laptop ready for the perfect night of tv and internet- when i spotted it and thus started the worst weekend ever. i absolutely have this dilapitating irrational fear of mice. i seriously spent all weekend trying to overcome it - of course with a few anti anxiety pills along the way. i had to sleep at my MILs house on friday night. then for the better part - perhaps 40 hours of the rest of the weekend, i was quarantined to my bed. it was my safe place. about 7:30 last night was when i braved the couch again - after m turned it inside out to make sure that the little devil was not there - and only lasted 10 minutes. let me tell you about the torture i caused poor m. he has been sick all weekend. trying to rest. like every 3 minutes i would call out "sweety, can you get me this or that?" because i literally would not move from the bed. as i am writing this post, my blood pressure has sky rocketed and i am sick to my stomach thinking about the stupid thing. i have cursed both my mother and my nana because they passed this thing on to me and it is really unfair to everyone involved.

just a shout out.

these are my parents and they are so much fun. i am so glad to have them as parents. i see crazy parents everyday, and i am lucky that these are the parents i have. i am sad that they live 3 hours away. i don't get to see them enough. i have never known two people that get through struggles and adversity like them. i have learned many things from them and am proud to say that i am the person i am because of them. respect, hardworking, strength, courage, and laughter i thank you for. thanks for all you do for me and my family. i love you.

these are my other parents. they are strong, amazing people who have fought and continue to fight to be with their family. i got twice as lucky to marry into this family and have them as my second parents. they are very admirable and good people. i have a caring, understanding, smart, passionate, loving, helpful, and strong husband because of these two people. i am lucky. i pray that henry will get to know grandma as long as possible. i pray that i will see ed in henry as he grows. thanks for all you do for mckay, henry, and i. i love you. and i miss you.

no more helmet

Henry got to take his helmet off indefinitely today!!! He went to the doctor and they said he has improved significantly and he now has a round head. Yeah!!
