just a short update

anthon was moved rooms this weekend. which is good, because he was in room 1 where all the new babies go. AND, if there is a delivery happening, we can't be in there. so it is kind of like he graduated and that was exciting for us.

he will get another echo on monday along with another head ultrasound to check for brain bleeds. the nurses/docs say that the cannot hear a murmur in his heart, so hopefully the PDA is closed or very small.

he is still on the nasal cannula, they did turn it down to 2 liters, but he wasn't tolerating that very well, so he is back to a 3.

he started eating breast milk again (had to not have any for a few days while they gave him the heart medicine) and he is tolerating that.

so for now everything looks great. he is gaining weight and looks more like his daddy then henry does. i thought for sure i had a chance with this one to look a little like me, but alas, no such luck. good thing daddy is quite the looker :) anthon is quite the fiesty baby, and does not like people messing with him while he is sleeping. sometimes he puts his hands/arms over his eyes if the blanket on the isolette is lifted so that we can see him. once the blanket is covering the entire isolette, he calms right down. guess he likes his sleep and likes it cavelike - sound familiar? so far he LOVES to be held and makes his cute cooing sounds during holding time. only 62 days until christmas and hopefully when he can come home.

Allison wow, he's so tiny!!!! I can't believe the pictures, I can only imagine the many tears and hurt you're going through, but how exciting you go to hold him!!! Wow, I so need to call you..what a tough Mommy you are and what a sweetheart you've been blessed with. Modern technology is such a blessing that something so tiny can be nursed to where he needs to be!!! What a great Christmas to be able to take your little one home!!! Sounds like a strong little guy! We love you guys, hang in there!

I know its always up and downs with these little guys but everything sounds like he is making good progress. I can see you in Henry so I'm sure Anthon will have some too.

Hope your tests go well tomorrow. Also hope you are continuing to feel better.
