life is over

it started a couple of weeks ago. hen crawling out of his play and pack at angela's. secretly i laughed, thinking, "hmm, at least he can't get out of his big crib at home." spoke way too soon. this is the short version, hen crawls out of crib, turn crib around, good for a week, hen figures out how to get out of turned crib, not staying in room, sleeping in bed with daddy, mattress on floor, baby gate up, hen knocks down baby gate within 20 minutes, change crib to toddler bed, new fun "big boy sheets", secret way of keeping door shut, hen crying hysterically by door, pillow and blanket next to door when hen wakes up. he feel asleep within 10 minutes tonight. now question is, do we let him sleep on the floor all night? because if we try to put him in his bed, we will start all over again. such a crazy time. i was sure he would sleep in his crib until he was 3. not even 2 yet. this is, however, definitley all worth it. best stage ever. wouldn't give up crib troubles for anything. can't wait for potty training.

Good luck! Maybe you should just let him sleep on the floor. That's what he's choosing!

Give him benadryl to put him to sleep like our clients do! Just kidding! This is a good age, watching him grow up normal and healthy, obviously he's not slow.

OH my gosh, I'm so scared of that!!! Seriously, I'm awaiting the day where we wake up to Savannah's face an inch away from us nad wonder how the heck she got out of her crib. I'm prolonging buying a big girl bed because I hear for weeks you have to lock them in their room while they sit by the door and cry themselves to sleep. So sad!!! Let me know if you find any tricks that help that transition. Best of luck!
