city of angels

Family reunion. So fun. Roz (mom), Chan (dad), Jerett, and I jetted off (not really, but in a super nice rental truck that you could practically sleep in) to Los Angeles to help my big city living brother move. LUCKILY it was only from one apartment on Orange St. to another apartment on Orange St. and the weather was perfect. We had such a good time - it's been a while since we have been together without spouses and children (oldest VERY BUSY brother Todd could not attend so it wasn't the entire original Shaw clan) and although I missed M and H very much it was nice to reminisce and laugh about the old days. Somehow the rest of this entire blog is about food - but that is how we roll in the Shaw family.

Chan, Roz, and Jerett. We stopped at Mimi's in the very lovely Victorville for brunch. Jerett opted out of having bacon and eggs and ate an entire portion of banana foster's pie by himself. At 10 AM. I love how he vacations. It was fabulous - lots of Mountain Dew and random gas station food - but he is thin and beautiful and works insane hours, so who cares?

Sloan and Roz. We went to the Grand Lux cafe, sister co. to the Cheesecake Factory. This was Roz's Mother's Day present and we sort of ate disgusting amounts of deserts - still lost 1 LB at my weigh in, however.

Jerett, Roz, and Allison.
