henry's 4th bday

my little angel turned 4 years old this month. what?!?! here is what he is up to as of late: (ps. this is long and mostly for myself to read later, so if you want to scroll down, its cool)

FAVORITE GAME: hide and seek - henry has quite the rules to abide by for this game. he tells the adults in the room what to say in order to play it "right". for instance, he will often hide under a blanket. and then tell us. "i want you to say - where's henry" and then the game proceeds as we ask each other where henry is. and then the giggling or "monster sounds" come from the blanket and we mysteriously find him. and then it starts over again. for hours.

FAVORITE FOOD: really, anything frozen. like frozen waffles. frozen toaster struddles. frozen corn dogs. and when i say frozen. i mean frozen. raw. he doesn't like things nuked in the micro much.

FAVORITE BAND: radiohead. henry is obsessed with radiohead. i think we have an emo kid already in the works!!

FAVORITE SHOW: much to mommy's dismay, henry loves a few shows on cartoon network. like gumball and adventure time. not the greatest thing for a 4 year old. but i choose other battles to fight. he also really loves busytown mysteries and wipeout.

FAVORITE ITEM OF CLOTHING: red socks. hen loves his red socks. whether they are on his hands or feet. paired with regular shoes or slippers. and sometimes even doubled up with other colored socks.

FAVORITE PERSON: daddy. its kind of gross. the obsession. for both actually. they talk about how they are best friends all the time. and mca surely should win daddy of the century award.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY: painting. hen has been into "creating" lately. he likes to paint, color on the whiteboard, draw. perhaps we have an emo michealangelo on our hands!!

DISLIKES: henry hates going to bed. every night. and its pretty much been this way for 4 years. he also really hates getting shots. because he has had quite a few in the last year. (dog bite, pneumomia, etc). any kind of bribery. he already sees through it. the marble jar does not work. no ice cream until you clean up does not work. other people will make fun of you if you continue to suck your thumb does not work (that really doesn't happen, but you get what i am saying).

we love our busy 4 year old and are so very greatful to have him.

nana got hen all sorts of creative things that he can sit and do with me and mca. because as mentioned before, he LOVES to paint and do crafty stuff.

nana made hen a special confetti bday cake with "sprinklers" (that is what hen calls sprinkles).

he loved the cake, but was just in a sassy mood.

for hen's party we invited his best friends to a swimming party at the orem rec center. and then on to mcdonalds for more fun. we purchased 100 chicken nuggets for the party goers. if anyone is interested as to what 100 chicken nuggets look like at one time. here you go...
