i had a friend (x) laugh today that i was just getting to christmas on my blog. but i am not the one who is going to set my dvr for the royal wedding. and making my baby wear a crown whilst watching it :) and admitting that if i didn't have a dvr i would get up at 2 am and watch it... anyway. here are some pics from christmas day 2010.we had a treasure hunt for hen throughout the house. each room had a present. we started with the buzz lightyear suitcase so he could carry all his goods around with him (that did not end up successful).
hen was WAY too excited about his clothes...
and got less excited about his cool refigerator magnetic battery operated gears...
until he figured out how to use them and enjoyed watching them with daddy.
mca got some sweet kitchen accessories...
and gift giving would not be complete without a melissa and doug puzzle (thanks nana).
hen loved his new toy story sticker book...
and mommy and daddy LOVED hen's toy story lego train. we eventually sent him downstairs to play with his other toys so we could put it together without interruption.
and the grand finale was the wooden police/firestation. basically it is a barbie dream house for boys. it is pretty radical. and hen was very happy...
he even asked for it when santa came to visit him earlier that month.
christmas was very bittersweet for us this year. we had our first anderson family christmas, but were missing one very important person that day. we had looked forward to having anthon come home and be our big christmas surprise. but we focused our time around henry and we were very grateful to be able to spoil him and spend the time together.

you may laugh, but at least it is documented...
